INCREASING COMFORT WITH FREE ENERGY-SAVING PRODUCTS
If you’re a property manager or owner looking to decrease your energy use (and energy bills) in your multi-unit residential building, our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program can help! Through the program, you can reduce your building’s energy consumption and utility costs with free energy-saving products.
Our program offers two levels of upgrades:
- The Basic Upgrade includes free bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators, showerheads, shower timers, and other energy-saving items installed at no cost.
- The Premium Upgrade includes all Basic Upgrades, plus incentives of up to $250 per suite for the installation of smart thermostats and advanced heat recovery ventilator (HRV) by a certified electrician.
THE PROJECT
500 Taché Avenue, a prominent condo building overlooking the Red River and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba, recently participated in our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program.
Through the Basic Upgrade, they had the following energy-saving products installed in their suites:
- 60 low-flow showerheads
- 46 low-flow bathroom faucet aerators
- 30 low-flow kitchen faucet aerators
- 50 window insulation kits
Building residents also received fridge and freezer temperature cards, a practical tool for ensuring appliances are operating at optimal temperatures, preventing energy and food waste.
THE SAVINGS
As a result of the upgrades at 500 Taché Avenue, they’re projected to save approximately 153,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity each year, which translates to an impressive $7,650 annually on their energy bills!

In addition to the suite upgrades facilitated by our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program, Louisa also identified a noticeable shift in the residents’ mindset towards energy conservation and sustainability. Residents appreciated the straightforward installation process and the opportunity to customize their selections, helping them minimize waste and add a personalized touch to their energy-saving efforts.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
We make applying to our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program simple. Just visit our website and fill out the application form. If you’re a resident of an apartment, townhouse, or condominium and are interested in receiving these upgrades to your suite, we recommend getting in touch with your building manager or condo board and encouraging them to apply on behalf of all building residents.
Once you apply and your eligibility is verified, our third-party program service provider, CLEAResult® Canada, will contact you to review the process, gather building information, and schedule your Basic Upgrade installation. While CLEAResult Canada is on-site, they’ll also assess your eligibility for a Premium Upgrade, where you can receive incentives of up to $250 per suite for the installation of a smart thermostat and advanced HRV control.
