SMALL UPGRADES, BIG IMPACT: HELPING MULTI-UNIT RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS SAVE ENERGY & MONEY

Our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program provides a full-service solution for property managers and building owners across Manitoba to make energy efficiency upgrades easier and more affordable.
We provide free energy-saving upgrades designed for apartments, condominiums, townhouses, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Plus, we offer incentives for advanced upgrades that help reduce energy consumption even more and support long-term savings.
THE PROJECT
Kur-Ric Properties, a multi-unit residential building located at 11 Main Street in Carman, Manitoba, recently participated in our In-Suite Energy Efficiency Program. Through our free Basic Upgrade, they received six bathroom faucet aerators, 12 kitchen faucet aerators, 19 handheld showerheads, and 14 window insulation kits — all at no cost.
Tenants also received practical tools such as fridge/freezer thermometer cards, shower timers, and flow rate bags, helping encourage everyday energy-saving habits. Not only will these upgrades help Kur-Ric Properties’ tenants reduce both water and energy usage, they’ll also help them save for years to come.
THE SAVINGS
Because of their upgrades, they’re expected to save approximately 7,400 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity and 2,400 m³ (cubic meters) in natural gas each year, which results in saving nearly $1,000 annually on their energy bills!

THE PROCESS
Participating in the program is easy. You apply, and we take care of the rest!
Once you apply and your eligibility is verified, our third-party service provider CLEAResult Canada® will contact you to review the process, gather building information, and schedule your Basic Upgrade installation.
During the visit, Basic Upgrades are completed in each suite, and CLEAResult Canada will assess eligibility for Premium Upgrades like smart thermostats and advanced HRV controls. For eligible suites that choose to proceed with a Premium Upgrade, we provide incentives towards smart thermostat and advanced HRV control upgrades.
