Energy Efficiency Education Program
This generation cares about saving energy
Students today are more environmentally conscious than any generation before them. They know that collectively, their individual actions can make a big impact.
The next generation will transform the way we think about energy and sustainability. That’s why in June 2022, we’re launching a new program for students and their teachers. We’ll share classroom-friendly resources to help youth understand their energy use and offer hands-on activities to empower them to make energy-saving changes at home.
Designed for students and their teachers
This year, we’re building our program for Manitoba classrooms. Here’s what you can expect to access through our upcoming program website:
- Students aged 6 to 12: Learning sheets, games, and group activities to explain what energy is and why it’s important to conserve it.
- Students aged 13 to 15: Information, group activities, and self-led assignments to help them better understand their energy use and how to create more energy-efficient spaces.
- Teachers: Print- and digital-friendly resources, assignments, activity sheets, and lesson plans to bring energy efficiency to the classroom.
Over time, we’ll expand the program to offer educational resources for more age groups.
